Fixed the odd character replacement that happens in the channel status and channel about section. For example: “don #039 #t” now shows up as “don’t”

Username color glitch fixed
If you’ve been annoyed by having to re set your username color in chat every time you go to a channel, then I have good news! That bug has finally been squashed! If you have been experiencing that bug, set your username color one more time and it should stick!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Fixed slow load/playback of live streams
Loading a stream or front page would cause five seconds for a stream to load. This has been resolved. However streams that have just gone live will still have a slight load delay until all edge servers have replicated the live stream.
Missing Live Viewer Count
Over the last week we’ve been testing new video server software. As a result you won’t see a Live Viewers count when you land on that video server. This is expected! Don’t panic! And yes the viewers connected to the test servers are counted in the total Live Viewers count which is displayed on our existing video servers.
Mobile App Status
Browsing, watching, and chatting as a guest is completed. Login/Signup along with some navigation tweaks and finishing the ad integration are still to be finished. Decided ability to broadcast from the app will not be in the initial release but rather in an update at a later time. The goal is to get a barebones app out as quickly as possible and then improve upon it from there. Android is being released first. iOS is planned later on.
Thanks for being patient!
Puffin Browser & Chat Connections
If you’re using Puffin Browser to view Vaughn Live, your chat may not load due to the way Puffin connects to TCP servers. Our system blocks subnets that it deems as a VPN or Proxy.
Subnet bans aren’t new, so why the change? Some idiot forgot to add a line of code to the chat server software that checks for subnet bans :X
Website Outage
Literally left the house and the sites went down. Just got back home, looking into issue now.
UPDATE: Servers in the Atlanta datacenter are down. I’m unable to access them remotely. Waiting on datacenter.
UPDATE 2: Router hardware failure in Atlanta datacenter. No ETA on fix.
UPDATE 3: Pinpointed the issue to a wide spread power outage in the datacenter which caused several cages to lose power entirely. Backup generators failed. They’re on the floor working to restore power right now, some cages have already come back online.
UPDATE 4: Sites are slowly coming back online. Not quite there, but almost!
UPDATE 5: It appears things have stabilized. I’m already working on a solution to prevent this from affecting us again in the future.
