Month: January 2012

It’s 2012! And CES?!

I can’t believe it’s 2012 already. Seems like the other day I launched Vaughn Live.

Since I launched Vaughn Live back in August of 2011, I’ve been working literally non stop on the site, as well as a few growing pains such as bad bandwidth providers, network outages and of course GoDaddy delaying the transfer of the VaughnLive.TV domain away from their service.

If you haven’t heard, GoDaddy supports SOPA, a bill that threatens to cripple the freedom of the internet. They have since changed their stance to say they oppose the SOPA bill, but I find that to be nothing more than a PR move to save face. I refuse to use a service or product that supports SOPA.

Aside from that, things have been going smoothly. Vaughn Live is still in Beta, stream key requests are steady, and as of right now nearing the 21,000 member count. Keep in mind, I’ve done zero to promote Vaughn Live. It’s all been word of mouth thus far.

How much longer will Vaughn Live be in Beta? That all depends on how quickly I can get the remaining features finished. But for now, the new features in the works for Q1 of 2012 (in no particular order):

  • Instant Messaging System
  • Inbox System
  • Android Broadcaster
  • iOS Broadcaster/Viewer
  • Archives/Highlights
  • UI improvements
  • Friends/Followers/Profile Comments Notifications
  • Followed Channel Goes Live/Invited To Channel Notifications
  • VIP Accounts
  • And some other surprises I cannot disclose

2012 is the year of Vaughn Live.

Also, I will be at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas! I will be there January 10th to the 14th, so if you’re going to be in Vegas during that time and want to meet up and say hi, let me know! I’ll be the 6’5″ dude with sunglasses and a “douchebag mohawk” walking around Vegas holding a huge Fat Tuesday drink.

God Bless you guys and thank you for helping make Vaughn Live possible!
